6. No Medical, Mental Health, Legal, or Professional Advice

Pain 4 Purpose programs may discuss topics involving trauma, grief, healing, recovery, empowerment, and personal transformation.

Our website, programs, events, educational resources, emails, and text messages are not substitutes for professional:

  • Medical care

  • Mental health treatment

  • Counseling or therapy

  • Crisis intervention

  • Legal advice

  • Financial advice

  • Educational advising

Pain 4 Purpose does not diagnose, treat, or prevent medical or mental health conditions unless a service is expressly provided by an appropriately licensed professional under separate terms.

Pain 4 Purpose’s website, email, text messaging program, and general contact forms are not emergency services. Do not use them to request urgent medical, mental health, law enforcement, or crisis assistance.

7. Donations and Fundraising

You may have the opportunity to make a donation to support Pain 4 Purpose’s mission, programs, operations, or specific campaigns.

By submitting a donation, you confirm that:

  • You are authorized to use the selected payment method

  • The information you provide is accurate

  • Your donation is made voluntarily

  • The funds are not derived from unlawful activity

  • The donation does not create ownership, membership, voting, or management rights in Pain 4 Purpose

Donation Designations

We will make reasonable efforts to use designated donations for the identified program or campaign.

If a designated program is fully funded, modified, completed, discontinued, or no longer able to use the funds effectively, Pain 4 Purpose may redirect the donation to a related program or an area of greatest organizational need, as permitted by law.

Donation Refunds

Donations are generally final and nonrefundable. We may review refund requests involving:

  • Duplicate transactions

  • Incorrect donation amounts

  • Unauthorized transactions

  • Processing errors

  • Circumstances in which a refund is required by law

Refund requests should be submitted promptly to [email protected]. Approval is not guaranteed and may depend on the circumstances and applicable payment processor requirements.

Tax Deductibility

A donation is not automatically tax deductible merely because it is made to a nonprofit organization.

The deductibility of a donation depends on Pain 4 Purpose’s applicable tax status, the type of donation, any goods or services received, and the donor’s individual tax circumstances.

Pain 4 Purpose may provide donation receipts, acknowledgments, or legally required disclosures when applicable. Donors should retain their records and consult a qualified tax professional regarding deductibility.

8. Event Registration and Participation

Pain 4 Purpose may host in-person, virtual, or hybrid events, workshops, fundraisers, community activities, and educational programs.

By registering for or attending an event, you agree to:

  • Follow applicable event rules and staff instructions

  • Treat staff, volunteers, participants, and guests respectfully

  • Avoid disruptive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or unlawful conduct

  • Follow reasonable health, safety, and facility requirements

  • Provide accurate registration and emergency contact information when requested

We may deny entry or remove an individual whose conduct creates a safety concern, disrupts the event, violates these Terms, or interferes with the rights of others.

Event Changes

Event dates, times, speakers, locations, schedules, content, and availability may change. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes using the contact information provided during registration.

Pain 4 Purpose is not responsible for travel, lodging, childcare, lost wages, or other personal expenses resulting from an event cancellation, postponement, or schedule change.

Paid Event Refunds

Refunds for paid event registrations will be governed by the refund or cancellation policy displayed during registration. Event registration fees and charitable donations may be treated differently.

9. Resource Requests, Orders, and Delivery

Pain 4 Purpose may provide physical or digital resources, educational materials, participant packages, event materials, or other items.

You are responsible for providing accurate delivery and contact information.

Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed. Delays may occur because of:

  • Carrier delays

  • Incorrect addresses

  • Weather

  • Inventory limitations

  • Third-party fulfillment issues

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We may send delivery confirmations, shipping updates, pickup instructions, or other fulfillment-related notifications.

Unless otherwise stated, nonprofit resources and program materials may not be resold or commercially distributed without our written permission.

10. User Accounts and Account Security

Certain services may allow or require you to create an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information

  • Protect your username, password, and verification codes

  • Avoid sharing account credentials with unauthorized individuals

  • Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized activity

  • Use your account only for lawful purposes

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless the activity resulted from circumstances legally attributable to Pain 4 Purpose.

We may send account notifications, login alerts, password-reset messages, security notices, and two-factor authentication codes.

You should never share a two-factor authentication or verification code with another person. Pain 4 Purpose representatives will not ask you to provide your complete password or authentication code through an unsolicited message.

We may suspend or restrict an account when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect security, prevent misuse, or enforce these Terms.

11. Text Messaging Program

Pain 4 Purpose may send text messages to individuals who provide their telephone number and complete the applicable opt-in process.

Messages may include the following use cases:

  • Charity and nonprofit updates

  • Account notifications

  • Customer care communications

  • Two-factor authentication and verification codes

  • Delivery and fulfillment notifications

  • Event confirmations, reminders, changes, and promotions

  • Higher education and educational program information

The specific types of messages you receive will depend on the consent you provided and your interactions with Pain 4 Purpose.

12. Consent to Receive Non-Marketing Messages

Your consent applies to the telephone number you provided. You confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number and are authorized to provide consent.

14. SMS Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on your selections, account activity, program participation, event registration, requests, and organizational communications.

Message and data rates may apply to messages sent to you and messages you send to us.

Pain 4 Purpose does not determine the fees charged by your wireless provider. Contact your wireless provider with questions regarding your text messaging or data plan.

15. SMS Opt-Out Instructions

You may cancel text message communications at any time by replying STOP to the telephone number that sent the message.

After you send STOP, you may receive one final text message confirming that your opt-out request has been processed. After confirmation, you will no longer receive messages covered by that opt-out request unless you opt in again.

Other supported opt-out keywords may include:

  • CANCEL

  • END

  • QUIT

  • UNSUBSCRIBE

Processing an opt-out request may require a reasonable period of time.

An opt-out request does not affect communications that were sent before the request was processed. It also does not prevent Pain 4 Purpose from contacting you through another appropriate method when reasonably necessary to:

  • Respond to a request you initiated

  • Address an account security issue

  • Complete a transaction

  • Provide legally required information

  • Protect health or safety

16. Opting In Again

After opting out, you may rejoin the text messaging program by completing an approved opt-in form or using another enrollment method provided by Pain 4 Purpose.

Previous consent will not automatically reactivate after an opt-out. New consent may be required.

For assistance with the text messaging program, reply HELP to the telephone number that sent the message.

18. Wireless Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Text message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless provider and network operator. Pain 4 Purpose cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered or received at a particular time.

Text messaging may not be available through all carriers, devices, plans, or geographic areas.

19. Email Communications

You may receive transactional, administrative, educational, nonprofit, or marketing emails based on your interactions and communication preferences.

Marketing emails may include an unsubscribe link. You may use that link to stop receiving promotional emails.

Even after unsubscribing from marketing emails, we may continue sending non-promotional communications reasonably necessary to:

  • Process a donation

  • Provide a receipt or acknowledgment

  • Confirm an event or program registration

  • Respond to a request

  • Provide account or security information

  • Communicate an important program update

  • Fulfill a legal obligation

20. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our website, forms, accounts, communications, or services to:

  • Violate a law or regulation

  • Impersonate another person or organization

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information

  • Harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another person

  • Interfere with website security or operations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to an account or system

  • Photographs

is owned by or licensed to Pain 4 Purpose and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use publicly available materials for personal, noncommercial, and educational purposes unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, sell, modify, distribute, publicly display, publish, license, or create derivative works from our protected materials without prior written permission.

22. User Submissions, Stories, Photos, and Testimonials

You may have opportunities to submit feedback, stories, photographs, videos, testimonials, survey responses, or other content.

You retain ownership of content you submit. However, you should only submit content that:

  • You have the right to provide

  • Does not violate another person’s privacy

  • Does not contain confidential information you are not authorized to disclose

  • Does not infringe intellectual property rights

  • Is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • Is not unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, or harmful

Pain 4 Purpose will not publicly use your personal story, photograph, video, name, or testimonial for promotional purposes without obtaining the permission or release required under the circumstances.

Submitting content through a general contact form does not automatically authorize public use.

Pain 4 Purpose does not sell mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or text message consent records.

Mobile information and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Limited sharing with service providers that support our operations and communications is addressed in our Privacy Policy.

25. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, programs, resources, events, communications, and services are provided on an “as available” basis.

Pain 4 Purpose does not guarantee that:

  • The website will always be available or error-free

  • Programs or resources will always be available

  • Information will always be complete or current

  • Participation will produce a particular result

  • Communications will always be delivered

  • Third-party services will operate without interruption

  • Every applicant will qualify for or receive assistance

We make no warranty regarding outcomes related to healing, education, employment, finances, relationships, program participation, or personal development.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

26. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pain 4 Purpose and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, representatives, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to:

  • Participation in a program or event

  • Reliance on educational or informational materials

  • Delayed or undelivered communications

  • Loss of data

  • Third-party websites or services

  • Unauthorized account access not caused by our failure to use reasonable safeguards

  • Events outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

A delay or failure by Pain 4 Purpose to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision or another provision in the future.

These Terms, our Privacy Policy, applicable registration terms, posted refund policies, consent forms, and any additional written agreement governing a particular program or service constitute the agreement between you and Pain 4 Purpose regarding your use of those services.
